Refold AI, founded by Jugal Anchalia and Abhishek Kumar (formerly Cobalt) has emerged from stealth with $6.5 million in seed funding co-led by Eniac Ventures and Tidal Ventures. The round also includes participation from Better Capital, Ahead VC, Karman Ventures, Z21, and a number of notable angel investors. With this funding, the company plans to expand engineering capacity, extend its catalog of pre-built integrations, and onboard more enterprise customers.
Replacing Integration Consulting With AI-Native Infrastructure
Enterprise software integrations are still dominated by manual projects - consultants are paid to build custom syncs across ERP, CRM, finance, and supply chain tools, and those same consultants get paid again to maintain them when anything changes. Refold AI takes a very different approach. Its autonomous agents observe how systems communicate, generate the integration logic, and continually update that logic as systems evolve. What used to take weeks of scoped professional services is now self-maintaining, reusable infrastructure. The platform already handles 30+ million API calls per month and supports 1,500+ active enterprise users - all with a team of roughly 20 people.
And this is where founders should lean in: the breakthrough isn’t in writing better integration code - it’s in removing code as the bottleneck altogether. Refold didn’t simply accelerate a painful process; they eliminated the reason the process exists. That kind of thinking is why the company attracted institutional venture backing so early. When you build a product that rewrites the underlying cost structure of an industry (in this case turning a $350B consulting category into software), you’re not fighting your competitors - you’re changing the playing field. That’s the kind of leverage investors and customers can’t ignore.
The Platform - Built For Engineers and Operators
Refold’s architecture is composed of three layers:
- Workflow Code Agents that continuously generate and maintain integration scripts
- MCP Chains that translate natural-language workflow instructions into code
- Embedded SDKs allowing third-party SaaS vendors to offer native integrations out of the box
Together, these components shift enterprise integrations from bespoke service engagements to scalable, productized automation.
What the Seed Round Enables
Armed with fresh capital, Refold will:
- Grow its engineering teams in San Mateo and Bengaluru
- Expand its integration catalog across ERP, CRM, finance and supply chain systems
- Add self-serve deployment options and white-label capabilities for SaaS partners
- Further scale enterprise onboarding and customer enablement
Why Timing Matters
Large enterprises now run on dozens - sometimes hundreds - of specialized SaaS products. Each additional tool creates more integration overhead and more consulting spend. Refold’s autonomous platform turns that cost center into a durable capability, allowing organizations to integrate faster and adapt more quickly to new requirements.
Looking Ahead
Over the next 12 months, Refold AI plans to:
- Expand its agentic workflows into new verticals
- Roll out SOC2-ready hosting and self-deployment
- Grow channel partnerships with implementation and ISV partners
- Increase platform usage and ARR across mid-market and enterprise accounts
Refold isn’t just speeding up integrations - it’s redefining how integrations are owned, built, and maintained. In a world where every enterprise is a patchwork of APIs, becoming the layer that keeps them talking isn’t just valuable - it’s indispensable.
